Positive Impact

Positive Impact is a peer program founded in 1991, when rowdy fan behavior caused the university administration to consider ending beer sales at Hughes Stadium. As a positive compromise, ASCSU created Positive Impact to provide the first level of intervention with student fans at athletic events. The program strives to encourage responsible behavior among student fans, especially when alcohol is involved. Positive Impact targets tailgating prior to the game, and once the game starts, aids in the enforcement of event policies in a positive manner.
