Maps & DirectionsOverview of Fort Collins

Colorado State University (CSU) is located in Fort Collins, a community of 125,000+ located 60 miles north of Denver and 45 miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming. At the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins is within an hour’s drive of major recreation areas such as Estes Park, Red Feather Lakes, Cache la Poudre River (Colorado’s Trout Route) and several mountain parks, including Roosevelt National Forest and Rocky Mountain National Park. Horsetooth Reservoir, a human-made boating and recreation area, is a 10-minute drive from campus. Visit CSU and Fort Collins maps and Colorado maps. Visit map of the northern Colorado Front Range.

Fort Collins is approximately 70 minutes from Denver International Airport (DIA).

Denver International Airport is served by most major airlines, which provide nonstop daily service to more than 115 national and international destinations. Many national rental car companies offer services at DIA, and ground transportation (shuttle service) to Fort Collins is also available from the main terminal.

Contact Shamrock Airport Express for convenient and economical transportation between Denver International Airport and Fort Collins.

Driving from DIA to Fort Collins, take E-470 (toll road cost $4.00) north and west to Interstate 25. Take I-25 north to any one of the three Fort Collins exits, Harmony Road exit 265, Prospect Road exit 268, or Mulberry Street/Colorado Highway 14 exit 269, and follow the signs to the CSU campus (about 5 miles west of I-25).
