- Follow the Cache la Poudre Canyon to Chambers Lake and Cameron Pass. The Poudre River, which flows through Fort Collins, is the only Colorado river with the U.S. “Wild & Scenic” designation as one of the nation’s few remaining unaltered streams.

Colorado State University (CSU) is located in Fort Collins, a community of 125,000+ located 60 miles north of Denver and 45 miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming. At the foot of the Rocky Mountains, Fort Collins is within an hour’s drive of major recreation areas such as Estes Park, Red Feather Lakes, Cache la Poudre River (Colorado’s Trout Route) and several mountain parks, including Roosevelt National Forest and Rocky Mountain National Park. Fort Collins is approximately 70 minutes from Denver International Airport (DIA).
Denver International Airport is served by most major airlines, which provide nonstop daily service to more than 115 national and international destinations. Many national rental car companies offer services at DIA, and ground transportation (shuttle service) to Fort Collins is also available from the main terminal.

Driving from DIA to Fort Collins, take E-470 (toll road cost $4.00) north and west to Interstate 25. Take I-25 north to any one of the three Fort Collins exits, Harmony Road exit 265, Prospect Road exit 268, or Mulberry Street/Colorado Highway 14 exit 269, and follow the signs to the CSU campus (about 5 miles west of I-25).
Colorado Welcome Center
The Colorado Welcome Center is located about ¼ mile west of I-25 on Prospect Road (exit 268). It is located in an angular metallic building on the south side of Prospect Road, which also houses the Fort Collins Convention & Visitors Bureau, the CSU Environmental Research Center, and the North Region Office of the Colorado Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation.
Campus Parking
Participants of conferences organized through the Office of Conference Services are eligible to receive a guest parking permit valid for most of the campus parking lots.
