Dr. Robert Brewer
Low Brass, Symphonic Band

Dr. Robert Brewer is Associate Professor of Tuba/Euphonium and Music Education at Colorado State University. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts in Tuba Performance from the University of Illinois in Urba¬na/Champaign where he studied with Fritz Kaenzig, Mark Moore, Robert Gray and Daniel Perantoni. He serves as Principal Tuba with the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra and the CSU Faculty Brass Quintet. In 2002, Dr. Brewer released a solo CD,“An die Musik”, which has been featured in the Walking Frog Records catalog since its release. He has performed as Guest Artist or clinician throughout the West including a performance of the Ralph Vaughan-Williams “Concerto” with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra.
In 2004, Dr. Brewer founded the Colorado Composers Project which identifies and brings to public performance music composed by composers which live or have lived in Colorado. He has performed recitals of this music throughout the South and the Mid-West and sponsoring concerts in Fort Collins and the Rocky Mountain Region.
