Corene Hurt-Thaut received her BA from Western Michigan University, and her MM from Colorado State University. She has extensive clinical background using music with neurological disorders ranging from traumatic brain injury to Alzheimer's Disease. Mrs. Thaut currently serves as adjunct faculty in the Music Therapy program, teaching piano, as well as the Neurologic Music Therapy methods course. She is also a Research Associate at the Center for Biomedical Research in Music, and on the teaching faculty for the Robert F. Unkefer Academy for Neurologic Music Therapy. She has numerous publications in the area of neurologic music therapy for motor and cognitive rehabilitation.
