Temporary Housing
You are strongly encouraged to secure permanent housing arrangements prior to your arrival in Fort Collins. However, the following temporary situations are available as you await your permanent living accommodations. If you arrive in Fort Collins after 10:00 pm you are responsible for making your own arrangements, unless advanced notice is made with our office.
Students assigned to the Residence Halls cannot move in until Thursday, August 20, 2009 when halls open. Students living in the university apartments can move in upon arrival if they have applied and been assigned to an apartment. Bedding and linens are NOT provided in the rooms. See the Campus Housing link below for more information. Secure campus housing prior to May 1 for guaranteed space for the fall semester. August is a very busy time of year, and housing space is limited in late July, August and September.
Home-stay Program
The Office of International Programs and the Fort Collins International Center Hospitality Program invites international students to stay in the homes of local families for up to 5 nights as you seek more permanent housing. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the warm hospitatity of our community, make lasting friendships, and get first hand experience of the city from your new local family!
To request a Home-stay Family, please complete the Arrival Information and Home-stay Request Form and email or fax it to: Jenn Christ, Fax: +1 (970) 491-5501. Home-stay requests must be received at least three weeks PRIOR to your arrival. Home-stays are limited to the first 30 students who request a need for temporary housing.

Hotels in Fort Collins
You may choose to stay in a hotel at an aerage cost of US $70 to $120 per night.
Hotels Near DIA
If your flight arrives late at night, you may need to stay overnight in a hotel near the Denver International Airport (DIA) at an average cost of US $80 to $120 per night. Be sure to stay in a hotel located on Tower Road (the others are farther away). Most hotels provide free shuttles to and from DIA.
International Student Organizations
If your country has an international student group at CSU, you may choose to contact the leader of the organization. The group may be able to provide you with temporary housing.
To ensure your safe arrival we kindly ask that you complete the Arrival Information and Homestay Request Form below and return it to us no later than 3 weeks prior to your arrival.
