Area Studies Application Procedures

To Enroll:

Colorado State University(CSU) Student:

  • Choose an Area Studies Program advisor from the list of faculty board members.
  • Consult with your advisor as to which courses you want to take in order to fulfill the requirements.
  • Fill out the information on the online form and submit or download a paper version and send it to the International Education. (Address indicated on the form.)

Upon Completion

To initiate certification after you have successfully completed all the AS course requirements:

  • Download and fill out completion form
  • IDS students must also submit a colloquium form
  • Obtain an unofficial copy of your transcript and highlight the applicable classes
  • Submit the completion form, highlighted transcript and colloquium form (if necessary) to your advisor or the International Education office
  • Your advisor will then forward the completion form and copy of your transcript to the chair.
  • You will be notified of the decision
