The Operations Management
area of the Department of Housing and Dining Services serves the
department-wide needs for custodial, maintenance, materials and
equipment storage. The area is based from the Housing Services
Building located at 1624 W. Plum Street in the University Village
Apartment Area. The customer service and communications center
is also located here and can be reached at 491-7171.
The Operations Management staff deal specifically
with the physical plant needs of the Housing and Food Services system.
In addition to the routine custodial, maintenance and warehousing
requirements, we also coordinate and manage long term maintenance
and remodeling projects using a system involving our own staff,
other University agencies, and out-sourced private contractors.
All purchasing functions for goods and services, except food supplies,
are performed through the Operations Management area. |
