The Department of Housing and Dining Services is committed to providing

Staff Training and Assessment

Tasks performed to accomplish this mission include:
- Coordinate department's staff training programs for full-time
and part-time staff
- Coordinate department's staff training programs for supervisory
staff
- Assist staff with training in the following areas: Apartment
Life, Operations Management, Pingree Park, Dining Services, Residence
Life, and Summer Conference Services

- Coordinate departmental assessment efforts to include: 1) tracking
student use of services, programs, facilities, 2) assessing student
needs, 3) assessing student satisfaction, 4) assessing campus
environments, 5) assessing program and service outcomes, 6) Benchmarking:
Comparing performance across organizations, and 7) measuring effectiveness
against professional standards
- Assist with assessment efforts for the Student Affairs division
- Department's representative to the Student Affairs Assessment
