Personal Information: I was born and raised in the Philippines. Married to Marie Jane, and have two sons. I enjoy biking, gardening, walking/hiking, and playing the guitar.
Job Experience: Prior to joining the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences (20% extension appointment), I spent 6 years with USDA-Agricultural Research Service-Agricultural Systems Research Unit in Fort Collins, Colorado. My primary research activities focused on computer modeling of agricultural systems (cropland and rangeland) and related field measurements to characterize the systems. Before joining USDA-ARS, I was an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the University of the Philippines at Los Baños.
