Excellent students from all eight colleges are encouraged to apply to tutor. Students who received an "A" or "B" in the course(s) they wish to tutor and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA are eligible to tutor.

Credit Tutors:

• Receive upper-division elective credit for supervised college teaching.
• Tutor three hours per week for one credit or five hours per week for two credits.
• Earn national certification through the College Reading and Learning Association.

Work Study Tutors:

• Students who have been awarded work-study can be hired to tutor for pay.
• Starting pay for work study-tutors is $7.92 per hour.
• Work-study tutors work ten hours per week.

Tutors are required to attend an orientation meeting at the beginning of each semester and monthly staff meetings. A fixed weekly schedule is determined by tutors at the orientation meeting. Tutors provide high quality customer service and maintain a positive working relationship with the professors and students of the courses tutored.
